1. Who We Are

This website (blainerobertdesign.ae) is operated by BR Design LLC, trading as Blaine Robert Design ("we", "us", "our"), a luxury interior design studio with its Dubai office at Office 1104, Aspect Tower, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website and in the course of responding to design enquiries.

As a business operating from mainland Dubai, we process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDPL"), the UAE's federal data protection law, which came into effect on 2 January 2022.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal data in two main ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically as you browse the site.

Information you provide directly

When you submit our contact form, message us on WhatsApp, call the studio or email us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, the community or location of your property, and details you choose to share about your project.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies (via Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site. This can include your approximate location (derived from IP address), browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent on the site, and the website or search engine that referred you here. This information does not, on its own, identify you by name.

3. Cookies & Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), delivered through Google Tag Manager, to measure website traffic and understand how visitors find and use this site. GA4 sets first-party cookies on this domain — typically _ga, _gid and a property-specific _ga_<container-id> cookie — to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. The information these cookies collect is transmitted to and processed by Google, which may store and process it on servers located outside the UAE, including in the United States.

If we run advertising campaigns through Google Ads, Google may also use cookies and similar identifiers to measure ad performance and, where enabled, to show remarketing ads to previous visitors of this site.

You can control or opt out of this tracking at any time through your browser's cookie settings, the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or your Google Ads Settings. Google's own use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

4. How We Use Your Information

To respond to your enquiry — to contact you about a private consultation, answer questions, and prepare proposals for your project.
To operate and improve the website — understanding which pages and articles are useful helps us improve the site and our Insights journal.
To meet legal and regulatory obligations — such as maintaining business records required under UAE law.
To communicate with you directly — we do not use your enquiry details for unrelated third-party marketing without your consent.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the PDPL, consent is the primary legal basis for processing personal data. By submitting the contact form, messaging us on WhatsApp, or calling the studio, you consent to us processing the information you provide for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a design agreement, or to comply with a legal obligation, we may rely on those grounds instead of, or in addition to, consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 10, without affecting the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to operate the studio and this website:

Studio team — enquiries submitted through the contact form are routed to a small number of studio team members responsible for responding to new leads.
Service providers — we use Web3Forms to process and deliver contact form submissions by email, and Cloudflare to host the website, manage DNS and route studio email. These providers process data on our behalf and only for the purpose of providing their service to us.
Analytics providers — Google, via Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, as described in Section 3.
Legal or regulatory bodies — where disclosure is required by UAE law or a valid legal process.

7. Cross-Border Data Transfer

Some of the service providers described above — principally Google and Cloudflare — operate infrastructure outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, the PDPL requires that the destination country provide an adequate level of protection, or that appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place. We rely on the standard data protection terms published by our service providers, and on your consent to this policy, as the basis for these transfers.

8. Data Retention

We retain enquiry and project-related personal data for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, deliver any engaged project, and satisfy our legal, accounting or reporting obligations. Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is retained according to the settings configured in our Google Analytics account, after which it is automatically deleted or anonymised. If you would like your data deleted sooner, contact us using the details in Section 10.

9. Your Rights

Under the PDPL, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

Right to access — to be informed about, and obtain a copy of, the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate or outdated data.
Right to erasure — to request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal obligation we have to retain it.
Right to restriction — to request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
Right to object — to object to certain processing of your personal data.
Right to data portability — to request your data in a machine-readable, portable format.
Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
Right to complain — you may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office if you believe your rights under the PDPL have been infringed.

11. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections between your browser and our website, and hosting infrastructure with restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect personal data appropriate to its sensitivity.

12. Children's Privacy

This website and our services are directed at adults seeking interior design services and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Third-Party Links

This site links to third-party services such as WhatsApp and Google Maps. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them; we are not responsible for how third parties handle your data once you leave our site.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

15. Governing Law

This policy, and our processing of personal data, is governed by UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates.
